After more than five years of preparation the socially committed film project "BEN - Nichts ist, wie es scheint" (BEN - nothing is what it seems), from in and around Landau in the Palatinate, has been completed. Thomas Schaurer, a wine grower by profession, is the author, producer, director and leading man. A 50-piece crew of film and television professionals and renowned actors, such as Juliane Gibbins, Michael Marwitz, Susan Stahnke and Götz Valter, was on stand-by to lead this project to its shared goal. This psycho-thriller is to support the efforts to raise the awareness on child abuse in the broader public.
